Clay Dixon | Assistant Coach
Clay Dixon is now in his second year of coaching men’s and women’s cross country and track & field.
He joined MSU after being a member of the cross country and track teams from 2012-2017. While at MSU he was part of the men’s 4x800-meter relay school-record squad his freshman year. Dixon competed at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship in track and field three times.
Originally from Winchester, Ky., Dixon graduated from George Rogers Clark High School. Clay, graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from MSU in 2016 and finished his Masters of Arts in Wellness Promotion at Morehead State in December 2017. Dixon wrote his masters thesis on the effects of anthropometric measurements on NCAA Division I track athletes.
Raine Wireman | Assistant Coach
Raine Wireman, who ran for the University of Kentucky, is in his first season on the coaching staff at Morehead State. He is a part-time assistant coach.
Wireman posted a personal-record 1,500-meter time of 3:54 as a junior for the Wildcats. He also plated 13th at the Greater Louisville Classic cross country meet in 2015, where he posted a personal-record 8,000-meter time of 25:21.
Wireman is a native of Proctorville, Ohio where he attended Fairland High School. He ran a personal-best and top-10 time in the state title 1,600-meter race. Wireman graduated from Kentucky with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering.
He is now pursuing a Master’s Degree in Construction Management at Morehead State University.
